The children learn together how to worship and adore God. Children\u2019s Worship emulates elements of &#8216;big church&#8217; so that the children will be prepared over time to join the greater community of believers in meaningful worship.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"subheader\">Who attends Children\u2019s Worship?<\/span><br \/>\nAfter joining the congregation for a time of praise and a special moment just for them, children three-years-old through 1st grade are dismissed at the end of a song and make their way to the fellowship hall. Children\u2019s Worship is staffed each week by a teacher, a youth assistant and parent volunteer.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"subheader\">What happens in Children\u2019s Worship?<\/span><br \/>\nThe elements of worship for the Children\u2019s Worship service are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>God\u2019s greeting<\/b> \u2013 The adult teachers and children great each other with, \u201cThe Lord be with you\u2026..and also with you.\u201d<\/li>\n<li><b>Songs<\/b> &#8211; Children\u2019s Worship includes songs by children\u2019s artists and songs that are a regular part of the congregation\u2019s singing, such as \u201cThy Word\u201d and \u201cGod is So Good.\u201d<\/li>\n<li><b>Call To Worship<\/b> &#8211; We usually review Deuteronomy 6:4-5 as we gather for our time of worship.<\/li>\n<li><b>God\u2019s Word is presented<\/b> &#8211; Each week a Bible story is presented with the Children In Worship curriculum. The children hear God\u2019s word and see it before them as the teacher presents the story with wooden figures enhancing comprehension and retention.<\/li>\n<li><b>Song of Response<\/b> &#8211; We close the time to hear God\u2019s word with the song, \u201cGod is So Good.\u201d<\/li>\n<li><b>Response Time<\/b> &#8211; Stations pertaining to the story of the day are set up around the room (Bible reading, puzzle making, drawing and coloring, etc.). These aid in understanding the story and remembering it.<\/li>\n<li><b>Prayer<\/b> &#8211; Children\u2019s Worship ends with prayer. Each child is encouraged to take the opportunity to talk to God, either out loud or silently.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"subheader\">A few important things to know<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>American Sign Language is a common practice for many songs and Bible verses in the Children\u2019s Worship Center. The use of &#8216;motion&#8217; and hand movements enhances praise.<\/li>\n<li>All parents are welcome anytime to visit and observe worship.<\/li>\n<li>A graduation service will transition children from Children\u2019s Worship into \u2018big church\u2019 after they have finished their 1st grade school year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#8220;Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.&#8221;<br \/>\n&#8211;Matthew 19:14<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Children\u2019s Worship is a time for children to encounter, experience, and worship God in an age-appropriate manner.
