As Christ\u2019s body, we are a testimony to and expression of His love in the world.<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"u203-7\"><span id=\"u203-5\">WE RESPOND<\/span><span id=\"u203-6\"> to that call by meeting God in worship, by preparing ourselves for kingdom service, and by ministering to one another and our neighbors in word and deed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"u203-11\"><span id=\"u203-9\">WE BEGAN<\/span><span id=\"u203-10\"> in 1942 as a result of Oak Harbor Christian Reformed Church sponsoring us as the \u201cfirst\u201d CRC to be established in Mount Vernon.<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"u203-15\"><span id=\"u203-13\">WE BELIEVE<\/span><span id=\"u203-14\"> that the Bible is the revelation of God\u2019s purpose given through chosen men who were guided by His Spirit. Like a pair of glasses, the Bible helps us to more clearly see God and His purpose for our lives.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Putting what we believe into action is a part of who we are. Attending Worship services, encouraging and nurturing each other, and reaching out in our community are all expressions of putting our beliefs into action.<\/p>\n<p>If you are looking for a place where you can worship and serve the Lord, it is our sincere hope that you would find us faithful to Him and His Word \u2013 that which truly provides the way, the truth, and the life!<br \/>\n(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=John%2014&amp;version=NIV\" target=\"_blank\">John 14:6<\/a>)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WE ARE a living fellowship of believers called together to further God\u2019s Kingdom.
